About the Diaries

As a lifelong lover of history (as well as a professional daydreamer) I started this blog as a center to share interesting tidbits of historical information that you probably never learned in a classroom…but mostly to share the quite…interesting and unique (to put it nicely) thoughts that go round and round the inside of my mind.

“Diaries of a Mad Archaeologist” is a place for me to be creative, theorize and come up with my own random thoughts on certain historical and archaeological issues that cannot necessarily be completely proven. If you disagree with the anything I write, just remember that I will show you the same amount of politeness and open-mindedness you show me. In other words, you can disagree, just be nice about it.

This blog will also make an attempt to cover some historical and archaeological information from all time periods, all over the world. All angles will be exposed (to the best of my ability) to give as unbiased of a view as possible. One big point of Archaeology is “we’re not sure.” We can theorize, but when no one is around to tell you about whether the 1000 B.C. statue you just found was religious or decoration, all you can do is guess. I will present as many facts and logical deductions as I can, but the truth is, is that we will never fully know the past.

I try to give resources for my information as much as possible, so you can check the information for yourself if you wish!

This blog is still a work-in-progress so there will be constant updates and changes to it as I continue to develop in my writing. Thank you for being patient!
